In the Geoide Viewer, redlining is the possibility to draw on a map without the map layer being affected. This is in contrast to 'edit' in the map, the changes are added to the map layer. Redlining is like drawing on a transparent sheet which lies on a physical map. Redlining is only possible with WMS layers, because the funtionality used for redlining in the Geoide Viewer is also used for “editing” Geoide Service layer. The 'redlining' cannot be stored/saved in the server. After "refreshing" of the browser, the redlining made disappears. To add the redlining layer to your map print, you have to check the option "redlining" in the appropriate printtemplate (see Print Template Properties).
