Create a Context

From Geoikia-english

Geoide works with contexts (collection of maps), maps (set of map layers) and the actual map layers. After starting the Geoide Viewer the context is loaded with its maps and associated layers. A typical URL will look like: http://localhost/namecontext/client/client.jsp?context=namecontext.

If you use multiple contexts, then you can use a so-called integration page to access these contexts.

> Go to Make geoide accessible through an integration page.

Steps

These steps describe how to create a new context.

1. Start the Geoide Author

2. Click the tab Contexts & Maps.

3. Select the folder Contexts. The Context + button appears under the tree.

4. Click on Context +. The New context window opens.

5. Fill in the fields.

> Help with Context Properties .

6. Click on OK to confirm the creation of the new context .

The context is added to the tree and a new empty folder Maps appears in the tree.

7. Save the changes by clicking on Save at the bottom of the Geodie Author.

8. You can then start adding new maps to the new context.
