Introduction

Image:QueryBuilderButton.png QueryBuilderButton: this button activates the 'QueryBuilder' pane for searching objects in the map. With the help of the following steps you can search the configured map. Such functionality is only possible in Geoide Service layers and on WFS Feature Types. A search input can consist of one or more fields.

Multiple search entries

You can make multiple search entries in a map. Each search entry is linked to an input layer (or a Feature Type if searching a WFS). If you have created multiple search entries, after clicking on the Query Builder Button a combobox is opened in the Geoide Viewer . After clicking on one of the search entries, a search dialog window opens with search fields.

Coupling actions with search entries

You can link actions to the search operations. The action follows the finding of objects: for example, "Zoom" or "Zoom and select". The actions appear as buttons in the search input screen. In so called 'simple search operations' these actions are activated only after completing all required fields. In so called 'advanced search' each action can be used immediately. When searching a WFS only the 'Zoom' action can be linked. The search entry can be activated in each layer, but the search actions is carried out only for the layer where the search entry refers to.
