Customize the lay-out of the Geoide Viewer

The layout of the Geoide Viewer can be customized. Each lay-out or "Viewer configuration" is available for all contexts created. The current (default) configuration can be adjusted, or a new configuration can be made.

The following items can be adjusted:

  • Colors of the Geoide Viewer;
  • Title, position and size of (pop-up) screens.
  • Tooltips for buttons and labels;

Steps

1. Start the Geoide Author.

2. Click the tab Viewer configurations.

3. Click the "+" button to create a new configuration. The default configuration acts as starting-point.

4. Give the new configuration a name and click the OK button. The new configuration is created in the folder Viewer configurations

5. Open the folder of the new configuration or of the existing configuration that you want to adjust by clicking on the small arrow. The sub-folder appears as follows:

Colors: Here you can change the colors of the Geoide Viewer.

Map viewer: Here you can change the lay-out of the zoom slider.

Toolbars: Here you can add toolbars, adjust the position and size of the toolbar and add or remove buttons from the toolbars.

Screens: Specifies the properties of the pop-up screens.

Action buttons, Viewer Mode buttons and On/Off buttons: Here you can customize the tool tips and the label of that type of button.

6. Save the changes using Save at the bottom of the screen of the Geoide Author.
