Image: PopupInfoButton.png PopupInfoButton: Pop-Up: Getting information per layer. By clicking on an object, a pop-up information window appears from the corresponding table. Only objects of the upper layer in the Geoide Viewer can be clicked.

You can create a Pop-Up in two ways:

Method 1: through the table of the Feature Type. It is thereby assumed that in the relevant Feature Type table, a column is included with (parts of) a link to information about the object.

Method 2 via a direct link to item information. It is necessary that the information of the object is findable via a "link"/object_ID.

Method 1: through the table of the Feature Type.

1. Start the Geoide Author

2. Go to the layer where information must be retrievable.

3. Fill in the field Popup-Url: 'default'. This ensures that the table (in step 6) is read fully for displaying information in the Pop-Up.

4. Choose the method how the information will be ‘triggered’ after clicking on PopupInfoButton in the Geoide Viewer:

  • 'Mouse Click', activates the pop-ups by clicking on the object in the map.
  • ‘Mouse Hoover’ activates pop-ups when the mouse moves over the item in the map.

5. Make the layer "Selectable" and "Editable" by checking the respective option boxes.

Image:tip.png If the pop-up function is not made selectable and editable, only the layer name will be displayed as a pop-up.

6. Select the WFS and Feature Type Name. The Feature Type Name must correspond to the layer specified previously at Server (see Layer Properties).

7. Fill the pop-up with the desired columns ("Feature type properties"). You can use the "Language, Title" box to enter an alias for each column. This alias will appear as label in the pop-up.

8. Save changes by clicking Save at the bottom of the screen.

Mehode 2: direct link to item information

1. Start the Geoide Author.

2. Go to the layer where the Pop-Up should appear.

3. Go to the box Pop-Up Properties

4. Fill in the field Popup URL the link which together with the object_ID (which automatically read through the Geoidviewer) refers to the information for the Pop-Up.

6. Save changes by clicking the Save at the bottom of the screen.
