Zoom features
An attractive zoomslider has been added to the Geoide Viewer. The lay-out of the Zoom Slider can be adjusted via the Geoide Author (dimensions, color scheme, position). You can also zoom by mouse wheel. You can indicate to zoom with gliding scale or by scale steps with a “clamp scale” function. Go to Configure zoomslider.
Security of Geoide Viewer
You can secure the Geoide Viewer with username and password. You can secure the Geoide Viewer via the Geoide Author data base for each combination of context and gui-config.
Print system improvements
The print preview has been improved significantly. You can zoom in and out in the print preview. Maps can be printed directly bypassing the print preview. The lay out of the print preview has been improved.
Meta data URL is configurable.
You can place the meta data anywhere you want, provided that the data is served by a web server. The URL can be adjusted via the Geoide Author.
Set initial visibility of layers via the URL of the application
The visibility of layers at start-up of the Geoide Viewer is primarily set by the Geoide Author. You can add a list of layers which you want to be visible initially as well to the URL in the browser. Go to Set layer visibility via URL of Application.
Improved filtering of objects
It is now also possible to filter found objects in cases that large amounts of objects are found by the search functionality.
Selective editing of columns
The edit functionality in Geoide allows editing of layers. Besides enabling or disabling editing of the whole layer, you may enable or disable ("Read-Only") editing for each data column.
Automatic unique layer names in case of same layer names on different servers
If a layer name is similar on more servers, then Geoide automatically generates unique layer names for identification.
Reading data via multiple URLs
You can set multiple aliases for the same URL in the Geoide Author. Hence reading of a large number of layers from the same server will be much faster.
Layer order for reading group layers is configurable.
The layer order of layers belonging to group layers can be altered via the Geoide Author. This can be useful because the layer order of deegree services is reversed to ESRI services.
Extensive logging in Tomcat
Tomcat is dedicated to log all requests from the Geoide Viewer. This improves insight in the use of the web application.
